Lifestyle Holdings welcomes new CEO on board

Due to Joss Mate’s sudden resignation last month, Lifestyle Holding has welcomed Martha Cigar as the Company’s new Chief Executive Officer as of yesterday. Equipped with prominent expertise in property development, Cigar is expected to turn things around in the business, focusing mainly on increasing the company revenues, minimizing expenses and expanding the company operations to the rest of Africa.

Lifestyle Holdings spokesperson, Andrew Maxwell is confident that Cigar is the right woman for the job. He said, “We strongly believe that she is the perfect candidate for this job because of her undisputed experience in the property industry and her noticeable achievements during her career as a property manager.”

After Mate’s resignation due to fraud allegations, the company saw a decline in property sales, share price and this affected investor confidence but Cigar, who has worked with countless property companies such as Pam Golding properties before is determined to put Lifestyle Holdings back on the map.

Cigar revealed, “I have been privileged to be given this task as the new CEO, I know there’s a lot of work to be done in making sure that we up our revenue performance and expand the operations reach to the African region.”

During her 10 year career as a property manager, Cigar became a household name when she managed to lead Pam Golding in become the top property giant by sales, profits and revenue. She plans to do the same for Lifestyle Holdings by increasing hotel rentals and cutting management’s fat salaries as a way to minimize costs. She’s also looking forward to a meeting scheduled a week from now with Ethiopia Property Development Agents to propose a business deal that will mark the beginning of expansion for Lifestyle Holdings.

Another crucial aspect she’ll have to deal with is re-inventing the image of the company which had been recently tarnished by the previous CEO’s allegations and she insist that this will be solved by her input and the collective efforts of the employees in the business.

Lifestyle Holdings is a Property Development Company established in 1996 by George Blart, it has 35 hotels, 30 community estates and 23 residential buildings to its name all over South Africa. Earning over R21 Billion of revenue in 2018 alone, it is by far the biggest property giant in South Africa and has been awarded for creating over 25 000 jobs since its existence, including employer of the year three times in a row.
