What it means to be young.

What it means to be young

To be young is to make your identity lit,
To embrace your vibe,
To know the glitz and glamour of your calling.
To be young is to be a celebrity of your own greatness.

To be young is not to sell your soul to the blessers,
But to be married to the holy scriptures,
To be young is not to be a slay queen,
But to massage your talents until they make your dream a reality.

To be young is not to be a legend of partying,
But to be a spiritual giant,
One that can create heaven on earth,
Who can turn our curses into kisses of a holy yellow bone,
Who can make a slender win the tender to go to heaven.

To be young is not to be shy,
But to be mad for christ till you reach the sky,
To be young is not to wear the expensive,
But to be the light to those who have made darkness bold and beautiful.
To be young is not to date the hottest or the cutest,
But making righteousness the latest trend.

To be young is not to hide your Pain behind your lipstick,
Or finding self-worth in a six pack or silly muscles,
To be young is to make Jesus the darling of your heart.
To be young is to dance on the stage of potential,
To make the Bible your WhatsApp,
Prayer your daily hashtag.
Don't just be a son, be the sun.
Don't just be a daughter, be a doctor.

To be young is not chasing fame,
But choosing purity as your bae.
To be young is not forcing yourself to fit in,
But to fall in love with yourself,
And be cool with who you are.
To be young is not escape the junk status of this world,
And choosing Jesus as your WhatsApp status.

To be young is to be a difference maker,
To be young is to be a blessing,
And guess what, my name is Blessing.

Shalom.
