Treasure the moment

Treasure the moment

When you know what your eyes can't see,
You begin to lighten your moments,
You prefer to fly than to drown,
Your zeal is married your vision,
And your history is rewritten to ignite.

When you realise the costs of life,
You begin to measure every second with grace,
Your heart becomes sealed with neither tears nor fears,
You prefer to dance your thighs to glee,
Knowing that the breath of life itself is a gift.

When we learn to give the love we want to be given,
We rid our sentiments of selfish pimples,
Which if prolonged would give rise to a tumour of rejection,
We ought to touch to be touched,
And we ought to praise to be praised.

It's easy to preach the sermon of love,
Knowing too well that hate dominates our claws,
When we face the faces of loss,
Only then we realise the priceless treasure we once possessed,
Mother nature needs me. Father humanity needs you.
